These options include:

  • Obtaining an egg donor from a reputable donor organization

  • Obtaining an egg from a friend or loved one

  • Selecting which partner (or both) will provide the sperm sample

  • Allowing each partner to contribute a sperm sample to fertilize half of the eggs

  • Using a gestational carrier to carry the pregnancy

Once decided, our team will provide the guidance and support needed from pregnancy to parenthood.

Ready to Talk Next Steps?

Fertility Services for Female Couples

Our Patient Experience Manager and our fertility physicians will meet with you 1:1 to discuss potential treatment plans. As we learn your history and goals, we’ll outline a detailed plan together identifying who will provide the eggs, who will act as the carrier and vice versa if desired. Treatments Options Include:

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

IUI is a simple, straightforward procedure in which a high-quality sperm sample (which can be provided by a sperm donor or loved one) is inserted directly into the uterus when you are most fertile, which increases the chances of becoming pregnant.

IUI Treatment Process:

  1. Onboarding: Our Patient Experience Manager will walk you through the process in-depth and answer any questions you have.

  2. Doctor-Led Consultation: Dr. Schulte or Dr. Dayal will listen, evaluate, and recommend the best treatment plan based upon your medical history and needs. From here, your personally-assigned financial counselor will join to talk through insurance and payment plans.

  3. Prepare for Insemination: Your doctor will determine if the use of medication is necessary, and will outline a plan according to your unique situation, including your cycle and sperm collection.

  4. Perform Insemination: When the timing is optimal for insemination, you’ll come in for the procedure, and lab work will be performed within a couple of weeks to confirm pregnancy.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

IVF is the process of fertilizing a number of mature eggs with sperm (provided by a donor or loved one) in a controlled lab environment to create embryos. Embryos are then monitored and analyzed closely, and once ready, transferred into the uterus.

IVF can be administered in a couple of ways, including:

  • With one individual both donating the egg and carrying the pregnancy

  • With one partner donating the egg and the other individual partner carrying the pregnancy, usually referred to as a co-maternity cycle.

Beginning IVF Treatment:

  3. Diagnostics & Customization of Treatment: Your doctor will run and analyze diagnostics which will be utilized to tailor and adjust your treatment plan to fit your unique needs.

  4. Begin Treatment: Your personally-assigned IVF nurse coordinator will be with you throughout the entire process. From ordering medications to cycles and schedules, you’ll never have to worry about managing it on your own.

Using a Gestational Carrier

Some couples may choose to utilize a gestational carrier to carry their embryo. In this case, you or your partner would provide the eggs which would be fertilized with high-quality sperm (provided by a donor or loved one) and then implanted into a gestational carrier to carry the pregnancy and baby to term. With the help of our trusted partners, our team will provide guidance and support in navigating the choice of a carrier and obtaining a healthy sperm donation.
