Dr. Maureen “Moe” Schulte joined the SIRM® team in mid-May. To give our patients an opportunity to get to know a little more about Moe, we thought it would be fun to throw her a few questions!
What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up this morning?
Coffee!
What is the best thing that happened to you this year?
Cliché, but joining SIRM! I am so thrilled to be seeing patients in St. Louis and doing what I love.
What is the best part of living in St. Louis?
The people! I am a Midwesterner through and through and I love how kind and down to earth the people of St. Louis are. I’m thrilled to be raising my family in such a wonderful community.
Would you live anywhere besides St. Louis?
Chicago! It’s like St. Louis only bigger! =)
What is your favorite season?
I love the transitional seasons – Spring is my favorite followed by Fall.
Do you like surprises?
Only if they are happy!
What is the biggest surprise you ever had?
My husband planned a surprise 30th birthday party for me with all of my friends and family. He incorporated everything I love in one big bash – being with the people I love, sharing food and laughter and dancing the night away!
If you could have coffee with anyone, who would it be?
My grandmother! She was wonderful and meant so much to me. If I had my choice between having coffee with her or a “famous person” it would definitely be her.
What is your favorite TV show of all time?
I am a Bravoholic. Andy Cohen – thank you!
Do you have any pets?
Yes! I have a 112lb yellow Labrador retriever named Diem and he is the second love of my life after my husband.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Patience. Because I wish everything could just happen exactly when we wanted it to, and then we wouldn’t have to be patient!
